PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable optical recording sheet capable of being stored stably by using a formed sheet of a high molecular substance which is depolymerized by the irradiation of UV light or of a high molecular composition contg. said substance as a recording sheet, recording signals with an UV beam, and reproducing with infrared rays. CONSTITUTION:A formed sheet contg. a high molecular substance such as polymethyl methacrylate which is depolymerized by the irradiation of UV light or a composition contg. said high molecular substance is used as an optical recording sheet 1. UV light 6' from an UV light generating source 6' is condensed by a lens system 7, and irradiated on a minute region A of the recording sheet 1 to depolymerize and volatilize the high molecular substance in accordance with the intensity of the UV light. Consequently, a recessed part 8 as shown in the magnified figure is formed, and the signal is recorded. The reproduction of the signal is carried out by the irradiation of infrared rays or a visible light beam. Besides, plural small holes 5 for discharging volatile matter are provided to a spacer 4 of the recording sheet 1. An optical recording sheet capable of being stably used and without generating the stripping off of a recording film 1 is obtained in this way. |
