The invention relates to a telephone subscriber station in which the conventional hook switch is replaced by a switching transistor. A switching stage which can be controlled by the handset when it is lifted and/or replaced merely supplies the control signal for the switching transistor which simultaneously switches the dial pulses which can be activated by an electronic dialling mechanism to the subscriber loop.
