By using a reagent for latex agglutination reaction which contains one or more members selected from the group consisting of a compound of the formula <IMAGE> wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or an amino group which may be substituted with a lower alkyl group and R2 and R3 are each a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, and a di-lower alkyl sulfoxide, the non-specific agglutination can be remarkably prevented and thus greatly improving the reliability of the latex agglutination test results.
