PURPOSE:To enable feeding of cardboard under low temperatures by pressing a pressure plate to a pickup roller using a plunger magnet with the aid of a lever when a sheet is fed out by said pickup roller, and thereby boosting the pickup force of said roller. CONSTITUTION:A lever 9 is fixed to a pressure plate 4 and mounted on a plunger magnet 10 so as to move reciprocatively. When a sensor 7 senses a sheet 3 coming, a pickup roller 2 is stopped from rotation. At this time, said magnet 10 is energized to pull the lever down, and the pressure plate 4 is set loose from the state in contact with the roller 2 against the action of a spring 5. Now the sheet 3 is free from load by the roller 2, and a feed roller 6 is able to send the sheet 3 easily to a platen 8. When the sheet 3 passes the sensor 7, the magnet 10 lifts the lever 9. Thereby the pressure plate 4 is pressed to the roller 2 strongly to increase the pickup force. |
