PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double-layer capacitor with improved productivity and reliability under high temperature conditions. SOLUTION: Each of cells 61a, 61b has a pair of polarized electrodes opposed to each other with a separator, a frame-shaped gasket for receiving the pair of polarized electrodes, and a pair of current collectors that are in contact with outside surfaces of the polarized electrodes and is bonded to both end surfaces of the gasket to seal the gasket. The cells are laminated to constitute a cell laminated body 71. The current collector 20b on the cell connection surface also serves as the collector of the cells 61a, 61b. The side edges of the current collectors 20a, 20b are received in stepped portions made inside the upper end surfaces of the gaskets 52a, 52b, and gaskets 51, 53 are bonded on both sides of the cells, to both end surfaces of the current collectors 20a, 20b and the gaskets 52a, 52b. The arrangement structure of these current collectors and gaskets improves the reliability of the electric double-layer capacitor under high temperature conditions. |
