PURPOSE:To carry out the treatment of human waste with reduced fuel consumption in a short time, by removing the solid material from the waste, distilling the liquid in acidic state with sulfuric acid, cooling the evaporated steam after contacting with an alkaline solution, and cleaning the condensed liquid by biological treatment, while subjecting the distillation residue to the hydraction reaction with quick lime to obtain a soil improver. CONSTITUTION:The human waste is subjected to the pretreatment such as crushing, removal of solid material, etc., acidified with sulfuric acid, and distilled. The distilled vapor is made to contact with an alkaline solution which is preferably heated near to the boilding point, and cooled to obtain the distillate. The distillate is mixed with inorganic nutrient salts and water containing living bacterial cells, and cleaned by exposing to air. The distillation residue is subjected to the hydration reaction with quick lime to obtain a powdery soil improver. |
