摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To obtain an accurate picture of an object to be observed at the reproduction of the picture for a synthetic aperture radar by providing a passive type flatness monitor comprising a photodetector and a mirror to the synthetic aperture radar antenna so as to detect the displacement of the flatness of antenna. CONSTITUTION:An expanded panel type antenna 12 of the synthetic aperture radar is mounted on a flying body 11. The flatness monitor main body 14 is fitted to one end of the center supporting frame 13 of the antenna. The monitor main body 14 is constituted by arranging concentrically the photodetectors 15. The mirror 15 is arranged to the tip 12' of the antenna so as to reflect the light from an external light source and make it in the photodetector 15 incident. The displacement of the part arranged with the mirror 16 is detected by the photodetection of the photodetector 15. An antenna pattern is calculated from the detected displacement at the reproduction of picture so as to apply correction to various parameters in reproducing the picture thereby obtaining an accurate picture of an object to be observed.</p>
