<p>A combination manual and automatic tracer lathe for cutting a work piece as disclosed. A cutting means for the work piece is movable longitudinally along the work piece and laterally movable into and out of engagement with the work piece while following a pattern. The pattern can be computer generated or mechanically generated with a pattern model. With either model, the cutting means is moved back and forth longitudinally along the work piece as successfully deeper or new cuts are made in the work piece according to the model.</p> |
