PURPOSE:To improve moldability without lowering heat resistance, by blending a specified urea compd. with a polyphenylene ether or a compsn. thereof with a styrene resin. CONSTITUTION:A urea compd. of the formula (wherein R<1>, R<2>, R<3> are each a 1-10C linear, alicyclic or arom. hydrocarbon group, etc.; R<2>, R<4> are each H, a 1-10C linear, alicyclic or arom. hydrocarbon group, etc.), such as N,N'-dicyclohexylurea or N,N'-di(m-tolyl)urea is blended with a polyphenylene ether such as poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) ether or a compsn. thereof with a styrene resin such as polystyrene to obtain the titled compsn. Usually, the urea compd. is used in a quantity of 0.1-25pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the entire quantity of the polymers.
