摘要 PURPOSE:In preparation of ultrafine particles of nitride using dust explosion, to make a reaction easy,and to allow the dust esplosion to take place stably, by using a halogen gas as a kind of reaction gas. CONSTITUTION:In preparing ultrafine particles of nitride such as ultrafine particles of titanium nitride, the hopper 4 is packed with the Ti powder 3 of raw material, the interior in the closed container 1 is made into a given vacuum, a pure N2 gas as a kind of reaction gas is introduced to it, and the pressure is kept at atmopsheric pressure. The lower part of the hopper 4 is opened, and a chlorine gas as a kind of reaction gas is fed from a bomb to it at a given pressure. On the other hand, voltage is applied to the discharge electrode 7 by the high-voltage transducer 8, and sparks are generated constantly. When the solenoid valve 9 is opened for about 0.5sec by the control device 10, the power 3 is fed to the conic part 2b of the combustion device 2, pushes up the ball valve 6, and blown up to form dust. The cloud is ignited by the sparks by the electrode 7 to form the combustion flame 14. At first the flame 14 is caused by the powder 3 and the chlorine gas, heat generation at this time serves as a start, the power 3 is vaporized, and nitrogenized with an N2 gas, to give a large amount of ultrafine particles of titanium nitride.
