THERMAL SPRAYING MATERIAL AND ITS MANUFACTURE

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the wear and seizing resistances of a metallic member by sticking the mixture of copper (alloy) powder with the prescribed percentage of copper coated fluorinated graphite powder of the prescribed particle size to the surface of the metallic member by thermal spraying. CONSTITUTION:Copper or copper alloy powder is mixed with 5-70vol% copper coated fluorinated graphite powder of 1-100mum particle size. This powdery mixture is thermal sprayed on the surface of the metallic member. The mixture is different from the member in the composition. By this method a sliding member having superior wear resistance is obtd. without deteriorating fitness and flexibility peculiar to copper or a copper alloy.
