This fluid power plant functions with two fluid tanks, which are connected together by a pipe and in which the rotor of an engine is fitted. Automatically actuated valves or flaps ensure that the rotor is always driven in the same direction irrespective of which vessel has the higher level. The differences in height between wave crest and wave trough present in a wave motion or even those in tidal ebb and flow can be utilised for producing and maintaining a difference in levels between the two vessels. <IMAGE>
