PURPOSE:To permit the use of a magnetic material which requires a high substrate temp. in the stage of forming a magnetic layer having vertical magnetic anisotropy by providing successively said magnetic layer, guide track layer and transparent protective layer on the heat resistant substrate. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic layer material is stuck uniformly on the heat resistant substrate 2' by a vapor deposition, sputtering or ion plating method to provide the magnetic layer 3 thereon. A material of which the light transmittance is changed by laser light is stuck uniformly by the vapor deposition or spin coating method on said magnetic layer when said material is used as the material for the guide track layer. The guide track layer 1'' is provided by irradiating laser light into a guide track shape to the resulting film after such sticking and piercing the exposed part by melting or discoloring said part. The transparent protective material is further coated uniformly thereon by the spin coating method to provide the transparent protective layer 4. |
