摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity of a charge injector, to reduce false signal noises and to realize the increase of the number of picture elements by forming a second potential well, which is shaped isolated from a first potential well by a detecting electrode, while mutually communicating one row of picture elements. CONSTITUTION:Picture-element isolation electrodes and three kinds of electrodes are disposed onto a semiconductor substrate 11 through an insulating layer 12. That is, detecting electrodes 14 and photosensitive electrodes 15 are formed onto the same surface and distances among the surface of the base body 11 and the electrodes is prevented, and the photosensitive electrodes 15 are connected mutually in the direction parallel with the detecting electrodes 14. Control electrodes 16 are arranged among the photosensitive electrodes 15 and the detecting electrodes 14 on the plan view. The semiconductor base body for a charge injector is divided into regions 18 under the detecting electrodes 14 common regarding each picture element in the row direction with the exception of picture-element isolation regions, regions 17 under the photosensitive electrodes 15 isolated at every picture element and regions 19 under the control electrodes 16, first potential wells 17a are shaped in the regions 17 and second potential wells 18a in the regions 18, and third potential wells 19a are formed in the regions 19 by the selection of reading and carriers are transferred.
