PURPOSE:To heighten output in low and high rotation areas of an engine by providing a large-capacity turbocharger for engine high rotation area and a small- capacity turbocharger for engine low rotation area. CONSTITUTION:In the low rotation area of an engine E, an exhaust throttle valve 10 and a turbocharging throttle valve 13 are closed, so that only a small- capacity turbocharger 8 for engine low rotation area is driven. In the high rotation area of the engine E, the exhaust throttle valve 10 and the turbocharging throttle valve 13 are opened, so that the small-capacity turbocharger 8 for engine low rotation area and a large-capacity turbocharger 9 for engine high rotation area are driven. The pressure of turbo-charged air supplied to an operation chamber 14b of a differential pressure response actuator 14 for the turbocharging throttle valve by a delay valve 15 will not be increased instantaneously, and the pressure of turbocharged air supplied to the operation chamber 14b through a small-diameter orifice 15b is gradually increased. |
