PURPOSE:To shorten a data access time and to improve the processing ability of the whole system by adding a disk cache memory on a main storage device. CONSTITUTION:A disk address converting mechanism 4 receives the disk address and data length of data read out of a control program 1 and when there is required data in the disk cache memory 2, its area is assigned to the program 1. Then, the address and data length of write data are inputted to the input 2 of a disk cache memory control mechanism 5 from the program 1, and the mechanism 5 transfers data to a magnetic disk device 3 to store a disk address in a disk cache memory control table 6 corresponding to the memory 2. The disk cache memory address is inputted to the input 2 of the mechanism 5 and the control is transferred to the mechanism 5 to release the area in the memory 2. |
