PURPOSE:To obtain a fine wire having a specific diameter as an easily workable wire by ejecting the melt of an alloy having an eutectic compsn. contg. aluminum in the form of a jet into a cooling liquid layer formed on the inside wall of a rotating drum. CONSTITUTION:Gaseous Ar is introduced into a crucible 1 from above the crucible 1 and the alloy melt is ejected in the form of the jet by the pressure thereof from the round hole of a nozzle provided at the top end of the crucible into the cooling liquid layer formed by centrifugal force on the inside wall of the rotary drum 3. The ejected melt is solidified to the fine wire having <=0.5mm. diameter. |
