QUALITY CONTROL METHOD BY CONTINUOUS MEASURING OF SHAPE OF CUT PART OF METALLIC SLITTED WIRE

PURPOSE:To facilitate quality control, by continuously measuring the shape of sag or burr at a cut part caused by slitting machining. CONSTITUTION:A metallic wire body 5 to be slitted is moved in a thickness measuring device, which is constituted by a guide rod 3 that guides sensors 1 and 2 and a spring 4. The shape of sag or burr caused by the slitting machining of the metallic wire body 15 is continuously measured. Thus the quality assurance of the metallic wire body 5 can be readily obtained.
