A cheese press for pressing cheese in cheese moulds has a conveying device for horizontal movement of the cheese moulds and at least one pressing cylinder for the simultaneous vertical movement of at least two pressing stamps. So that the cheese moulds are subjected to the same pressure as far as possible and so that at the same time the pressing stamps always lie flat on the cheese moulds despite any differences in height, the cheese moulds are connected to the pressing cylinder (5, 7) by means of a parallelogram guide (9, 10; 19, 20).
