Initially, as shown in Fig. 3, the flange is moulded with the cavity 15 open on the lower side 21, the opening 20 being surrounded by a wall 22 which is subsequently heated and caused to close the cavity 15 as shown in Fig. 5. Projections 17 in the recess 16 prevent the sealing gasket on which the flange 10 seats, from entering the recess. |
