The method is intended for producing a plastic object such as a sail board, a small boat, publicity item etc., comprising a foam plastic, e.g. polyurethane, core (3) and a plastic possibly fibre reinforced skin (5). A mould is internally covered with material preventing adhesion of the core after which the core material(s) are introduced, allowed to foam and set. The object with anti-adhesion layer is then removed and further treated to apply the skin. The anti-adhesion material is formed by a mat (4) consisting of glass, polyamide, carbon, aramid or similar non-adhering fibres with tensile strength. The mat pref. has a largely closed texture. The skin may consist of possibly fibre-reinforced polyester or epoxy resin.
