PURPOSE:To improve the workability for coating, and curability and weather resistance of coated film by coating a colored paint consisting of a film forming component, pigments, solvents, fine particles of polymers and solvents on a substrate, then coating a top coating paint and then baking. CONSTITUTION:A color paint consisting of a film forming component consisting of 30-90pts.wt. OH-contg. vinyl polymer having 500-8,000 number average mol.wt. and 40-250 OH value and 70-10pts.wt. aminoplast, and pigemtns, solvents, and fine particles of polymers (e.g. powdery silica, low mol.wt. polyolefine, etc.), is coated on a substrate. Then, a top coating paint consisting of a component for forming a coating layer consisting of a polymer (such as alkyd resin, oil-free alkyl resin, urethane resin, etc.) and aminoplast, is coated thereon. The coated layer is baked thereafter at 60-180 deg.C.
