PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer recording medium which ensures high- quality printing free of misregister of colors without needing color registration between a recording paper and a transfer paper and the maintenance of which is easy to perform, by providing a recording paper and a plurality of transfer papers having respective color inks, as one body with each other. CONSTITUTION:A joint part 10 at which a plurality of paper materials 6, 7, 8, 9 are integrally connected in a stepped form is provided at one end in the longitudinal direction of the recording paper 1, and the transfer papers 2, 3, 4, 5 are adhered to the stepped end parts of the paper materials 6-9 through hot-melt adhesives 6b, 7b, 8b, 9b, whereby the transfer papers 2-5 are laminated in an order of colors. Each of the transfer papers 2-5 is obtained by providing an ink layer 14 of respective color on a base 12 through an adhesive layer 13, and is attached with a magnetic attracting member 2a-5a for discrimination. When printing by such a thermal transfer recording medium a, the transfer paper 2 is attracted to the recording paper 1 side by a magnetic attracting means of a printer, while the other transfer papers 3-5 are attracted to the upper side, and printing is conducted. After printing, the transfer paper 2 is removed, and then printing is conducted by using the transfer paper 3. |
