<p>A seating platform e.g. for domestic furniture or motor vehicle seats comprises at least one moulded elastic element (12) mounted on a frame member (10) and covered by a non-stretch sheet (14) which, upon installation, is only lightlyten- sioned. The element (12) is of a substantially imcompressible material, e.g. a rubber composition high in natural rubber, and includes spaced apart grooves (12e,12f) which permit controlled transverse deformation of the element upon loading of the platform.</p> |
