PURPOSE:To enable a core to be measured without winding work of the measurement coils and in the same state as when used, by a method wherein magnetization coils and search coils are wound up around a yoke having magnetic flux induction grooves at given intervals and are arranged confronting a core the magnetic characteristics of which is measured. CONSTITUTION:A ring-formed or sector-formed yoke 8 is provided so that the yoke may be arranged along the margin of a rotary machine core 1, and magnetic flux induction grooves 8a are formed at given intervals and along the margin opposite to the core 1 for the yoke 8. Magnetization coils 9 and search coils 10 are wound up around the yoke 8 confronting slots 4 of the core 1, and each coil 9, 10 is connected by reversing the winding direction every time crossing the magnetic flux induction groove 8a. The yoke 8 with the coils is arranged along the margin of the core 1, and magnetic flux phi is generated by the magnetization coils 9, and various magnetic characteristics on the core 1 can be measured by voltage and current shown in the search coils 10. |
