PURPOSE:The titled composition that contains, as an active ingredient, a mixture of methionine and a specific compound, thus developing synergic effect on shortening and lodging in rice plant stalks, when it is applied on the water surface or in the water of rice fields, which a lower dose than in case of single use. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains, as active ingredients, a known compound of formula I, 1-cyclohexy-4,4-dimethyl-2-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-pent- 1-ene-3-ol and methionine, which is an essential aminoacid and used as a lodging preventive without anxiety of toxicity to men and animals. This composition can also be applied to rice plant in dry fields, cereals, corns, soybeans and other crops. EFFECT:Reduced yield by lodging can be avoided without adverse effects on ear lengths and grains number per ear, thus harvesting operations with combines can be easily made to obtain stablized yield. Further, it can be applied, when lodging is foreseen. |
