PURPOSE:To prevent the scouring of soil and sand below the free end of the peripheral edge of a structure under water by a method in which an annular part with large numbers of through holes are provided in the free end part of a flexible sheet to be laid on the basal bottom of the structure, a perforated steel tube is inserted into the annular part in such a way as to match respective through holes. CONSTITUTION:An annular part 2 with large numbers of through holes 2a is wound around the end edge of a sheet 1 for stabilizing the basal bottom of a structure A under water, and the end piece 2a of the annular part is bonded with the sheet 1. A perforated steel tube 3 is inserted into the annular part 2 in such a way as to match respective through holes 2a and 3a. In the free end part of the sheet 1 projected from the peripheral edge of the basal bottom of the structure A under water, soil and sand 4 go through the through holes 2a and 3a from below into the perforated steel tube 3 and deposit there. Since the steel tube 3 settles and is buried in the ground B under water to form an anchor, the end part of the sheet 1 can be stably held on the ground B. |
