PURPOSE:To provide a heat-resistant resin compsn. having excellent flexibility, adhesion, etc. and suitable for use in coating wire, by blending a novolak type alkylphenol/formaldehyde resin with a polyester resin contg. imide linkages in the molecular chain. CONSTITUTION:1mol of a diamine (e.g. m-phenylene-diamine) is reacted with 2mol of trimellitic anhydride to obtain an imide-acid of the formula (wherein R is a bivalent org. group). An acid component composed of the imide-acid or a mixture thereof with other acids (e.g. terephthalic acid) is reacted with an alcohol component (e.g. ethylene glycol) to produce a polyester resin contg. imide linkages in the molecular chain. 0.1-5wt% novolak type alkylphenol/formaldehyde resin contg. 4-10C alkyl groups is blended with the polyester resin to obtain the desired heat-resistant resin compsn. |
