PURPOSE:To clad explosively plural base metals to each other and cladding metal by disposing plural sheets of the base metals via a butt spacing provided therebetween, placing the cladding metal thereon and exploding gun powder in such a way that the detonation progresses in the direction perpendicular to the butt spacing on the surface. CONSTITUTION:Plural sheets of base metallic plates 1, 1' are imposed onto an auxiliary base metal 5 made of a steel in the state of butting the plates via the spacing 8 provided between the end faces 2, 2' thereof. A metallic plate 3 which is the cladding metal is further imposed on the plates 1, 1' and the gun powder 4 is imposed thereon. The gun powder is initiated at one end 7 in this state and is thus exploded to clad explosively the metals. The gun powder is exploded in this case in such a way that the detonation intersects orthogonally with the butt line in the spacing 8 between the plates 1 and 1' to effect simultaneously the explosive cladding of the metals 1, 1' to each other and the plates 1, 1' and the plate 3, by which plural sheets of the plates 1, 1' and the plate 3 are press-welded to a sheet of the clad metal. |
