PURPOSE:To perform unlocking operation easily and securely with small force by providing a lock receiving part to either of an upper and a lower opening part, a latch plate and a lock claw inside of the side edge of the other, and a handle externally. CONSTITUTION:When the upper opening part 2 of the main copying machine consisting of the upper and lower opening parts is opened, the turning of the handle 13 against a spring 18 as shown by an arrow B allows the latch plate 10 to move a shown by the arrow B with one end part 13a of the handle, and the lock claw 11 in a lock state disengages from the lock receiving part 12 of the lower opening part to open the upper opening part 2. Further, when the handle 13 is freed, the handle returns with the elastic force of the spring 18 and the plate 10 also enters the lock state with the energizing force of the spring 18. Thus, the turning motion of the handle 13 is converted into linear motion to perform the unlocking operation easily and securely with the small force, thereby reducing the weight and cost of the device. |
