PURPOSE:To rapidly measure the antigen and antibody in a specimen to be examined, by a method wherein the radioactively labelled substance reacted with an antigen or antibody is converted to an immobilized compatible substance which is, in turn, immunologically reacted with the specimen to be examined while the reaction product is immobilized to measure the radiation dose thereof. CONSTITUTION:A radioactively labelled substance labelled with a radioactive compound reacted with the antigen or antibody in a specimen to be examined, for example, <125>Ialpha-phetoprotein is immobilized by a carrier such as glass beads to be converted to an immobilized compatible substance. Next, a capillary tube is packed with the immobilized compatible subtance and the specimen to be examined, for example, anti- alpha-phetoprotein is added to said capillary tube to perform immunological reaction and the reaction product with the radioactively lavelled substance is immobilized at the position of the immobilized compatible substance. Subsequently, the unreacted substance is washed off. Then, the radiation dose of the reaction product is measured to calculate the concn. of the antigen or antibody in the speciment to be examined. Because the radioactive labelled substance is converted to the immobilized substance, immunological reation can be measured rapidly. |
