In order to provide an apparatus for the continuous loading of a heap of debris or the like, which is both of simple construction and easy to operate, but is also capable of picking up a heap of debris lying at the side of the apparatus and at a substantial distance therefrom, without it being necessary to move the running gear to and fro, and to remove a heap of debris remaining on the blasting wall, it is proposed according to the invention that an oscillating crank (5) or the like is mounted so as to be able to rise and fall on the frame (4) of the running gear (1), on the front end of which crank an extension arm (11) is mounted so as to be able to rise and fall and so as to be able to pivot, which is equipped with a shovel (18) or the like on its front end. The oscillating crank (5) is of a substantially fork-shaped design. The one ends of the legs (6) of the oscillating crank (5) are mounted on the frame (4) so as to be able to pivot about horizontal axes. <IMAGE>
