PURPOSE:To stop a workpiece desirably or gently and make an operation safe by driving a captioned device with a motor having brakes arranged between free rollers and advancing and retracting a magnet roll whose peripheral surface is a magnet surface, from between said free rollers. CONSTITUTION:In a roller conveyor 1, free rollers 4 are rotatably arranged, and plural number of magnet rolls 6 are placed on the top surface of an elevatable lifting bed 31 for conveyor 5, which is supported by plural linear operating gears L, L... such as hydraulic cylinders, etc., perpendicular to the conveying direction and positioned right in the middle of the interval between the rollers 4, 4. By operating the linear operating gears L, the rolls 6 are projected above the rollers 4 and operated, to convey a workpiece on it, and are gently stopped prior to the collision of the workpiece with a stopper 41, being braked by the operation of a motor having a brake. And, the workpiece is conveyed while being adsorbed to the magnetic surface 7 of the rolls 6, preventing it from deviating. |
