PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture a heat-resistant chain conveyor with the use of refractory materials, etc. which are difficult to be fabricated, by forming, in both end parts of each joint shaft, grooves each adapted to receive two peices of chains, and by fitting, in each groove, the chain pieces each having an elongated hole adapted to slide along the groove. CONSTITUTION:A joint shaft 12 is formed, in its each end, with a groove 14, 16 having a width 21 and a depth DELTAR, in which two pieces of chaines 10 having length (l) may be fitted. Then, two chain pieces 10 each defining therein a center hole 26 having a diameter D equal to that of the joint shaft 12 and two elongated holes 20, 22 adapted to be slidably fitted onto the joint shaft 12 are fitted into the groove. The chain pieces 10 are attached to the joint shaft 20 by means of a guide rail 30 to be guided therealong. With this arrangement, the conveyor having a simple structure may be formed with the use of ceramic materials or the like which are difficult to be fabricated. |
