In the process for removing CO2 and/or H2S from gases containing CO2 and/or H2S by scrubbing the gases with an aqueous absorption fluid containing as alkanolamine, the gases containing CO2 and/or H2S are treated in an absorption stage with an aqueous absorption fluid containing 3 to 60% by weight of a tertiary alkanolamine and 1 to 50% by weight of a primary alkanolamine, the treated gases are taken off at the top of the absorption stage, the aqueous absorption fluid rich in CO2 and/or H2S is taken off at the bottom of the absorption stage and let down in at least two let-down stages for regeneration, and the last let-down stage is here operated at a pressure reduced as compared with atmospheric pressure and the regenerated absorption fluid is recycled into the absorption stage.
|
