PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of imbalance between on the right and left sides in the magnitude of power units by meshing a small gear for output at one edge of a crankshaft with a large gear for deceleration which is installed onto the input shaft of a transmission integrally with a multiple disc clutch. CONSTITUTION:A transmission is installed onto the undersurface of a horizontally opposed type engine equipped with a front cylinder 16 extending to the front side from a crankshaft 15 extending to the right and left sides of a motorcycle and a rear cylinder 17 extending to the rear side. The crankshaft 15 and the input and output shaft 32 are arranged vertically, and a generator 27 is installed at one edge of the crankshaft 15, and a small gear 26 for output is installed onto the other edge and meshed with a large gear 33 for deceleration which is installed onto the input shaft of the transmission integrally with a multiple disc clutch 34, and a rear-wheel driving chain pulley 9 is installed onto the output shaft 32, on the other side of the multiple disc clutch 34. Thus, the dimension of the members installed onto the both sides of the crankshaft 15 can be balanced. |
