PURPOSE:To achieve a greater reliability of an electronic scale with a higher response by halting the preventing operation of a display flickering prevention circuit when changes in the weight of an object to be measured exceed a fixed value to perform an instantaneous labeling display of the wieght. CONSTITUTION:The weight of an object to be measured is measured with a load cell 22 and the output signal thereof is converted 23 digitally to be inputted into a CPU24. The unit cost is also inputted into an I/O block 25 and the CPU24 from a front keyboard 11. In this circuit, the charge is computed for display 27 and labeling 26 from the weight and the unit cost of the object. This arithmetic operation enables the display of a stable numeral without flickering from the number based on the current N of data. Moreover, when the weights in the current data and the preceding data exceed a fixed value, the circuit for preventing flickering is invalidated and a value large in the weight change is displayed instantaneously. Thus, a higher response is possible in the display of an electronic charge scale.
