Device for remote interrogation of answering machines

To save money and time during remote interrogation, a minirecorder with a microphone is coupled with the code transmitter. This device will be referred to as the >>cassette code<<. Procedure: The announcement text is heard as soon as the telephone number of the line termination connected to the answering machine is dialled. The code transmitter (cassette code) is then placed on the earpiece and the signal activated to rewind the recorded cassette in the answering machine. As soon as the signal is activated, the minirecorder is simultaneously rewound in the >>record<< setting at the same speed as the cassette which is rewinding in the answering machine. The recorded calls are then recorded backwards at high speed with the minirecorder. The remote interrogation has taken place. The tape in the minirecorder can then be replayed forwards at leisure - at normal speed.
