Centrifugal governor

The centrifugal governor is intended for rotating position transmitters in internal combustion engines. One part is mounted in a fixed manner on a shaft and an adjusting part mounted pivotably on the said shaft and situated between these are two centrifugal weights which adjust under the action of the rotation of the shaft. To provide a simple, compact and reliable centrifugal governor in which the adjusting forces act tangentially and the number of coupling means is reduced, the coupling means of the fixed part, of the centrifugal weights and of the adjusting part are arranged at the circumference of the fixed part and of the adjusting part. In addition, the coupling means of each centrifugal weight to the fixed part lies essentially opposite its coupling means to the adjusting part, relative to the shaft. A tension spring is provided between the coupling means of one centrifugal weight to the fixed part and the coupling means of the other centrifugal weight to the adjusting part. <IMAGE>
