<p>PURPOSE:To save the energy and to make the device compact by providing a gas supply pipe tangential to the cross section of the pipe, a liquid-sucking and gas-liquid mixing tube at the lower part and a conical pipe, a throat, a packed bed and a covered cylinder over the mixing tube. CONSTITUTION:A gas is supplied from a gas feed pipe 11 through a gas supply pipe 2 and a spiral flow of the gas and the liquid from a liquid suction port 15 is formed by the pressure of the gas in a liquid-sucking and gas-liquid mixing pipe 1. The spiral flow is turned into an axial flow when the gas-liquid mixture presses through a throat 4 and the flow velocity is increased. Accordingly, a completely mixed phases of gas and liquid is obtained, the flow velocity is successively reduced while passing through an inverted conical pipe 5 and minute liquid droplets and the gas are separated. Then the flow strikes against the lid of a covered cylinder 6 and is bent downward. The surface of a packing material 7 is uniformly wetted with liquid droplets and the gas-liquid contact is carried out on the surface. The gas is discharged from an outlet 12.</p> |
