PURPOSE:To facilitate plunging into the powdery and granular material layer with a minor power consumption for the rotor by float transporting the powdery and granular material, which is taken into the intervane space of the rotor from openings at the side of and in the lower part of a casing surrounding the rotor, to a fillet-equipped belt through utilization of the centrifugal force. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of vanes 40 hanging over with a large width are installed at the periphery of a rotor 36, and its periphery is enclosed by a casing 44 having openings 46, 50 at the side and in the lower part. When the portion of this casing near the bottom is plunged into the layer of powdery and granular material 12 gradually, the portion of the powdery and granular material near the periphery of said casing 44 is pushed into the casing 44 through a slit 48 and openings 46, 50 in a louver 52 to reach vanes 40 of the rotor 36, and the rotation of the vanes 40 will accelerate the material and release off to a fillet-equipped belt 22 to be forwarded in the lifted condition. Continuing this action facilitates plunging of the lift transport device into the powder material, and also the distance from take-in at the rotor till release can be shortened to lead to saving the power consumption. |
