Washer-spin dryer includes a pulsator with a concentric shaft, which is rotatably fitted into an eccentric depression in a rotary perforated tub in a water tank, a washing shaft concentrically fitted into the tub and a transmission between the shafts in a sealed case below the pulsator and above the depression base. Pumping blades are fitted to the underside of the pulsator around the case to draw water from the tub. The water goes through a hole in the depression base from the space between tube and tank, then upwardly to a filter from which the water is returned to the tub interior. Guide walls for the water entering through the hole pref. extend out radially from the case bottom and are an integral part of the case bottom. The system removes lint and fluff, which otherwise could be trapped by the gears of the shaft.
