PURPOSE:To shorten the command analyzing time by providing a command decoder sorting the commands received from a host computer into every function to a command reception part. CONSTITUTION:A command reception part 13 includes a command decoder part 15 which sorts the received commands into every function and outputs the sorted result and those received commands to a command analyzing part 21. The part 21 analyzes and sort roughly the commands according to the function sorting codes stored in a register and selects a channel command based on the rough sorting. Then command processing parts 221-22n corresponding to selected channel commands are started, and the output signals of these command processing parts are outputted to a print control part 24.
