<p>In a method for feeding fibre material to a plurality of fibre-processing machines, such as fibre storing devices, a bale opener removes fibre material from a plurality of fibre bales with at least two classes of fibres A, B, determined partial quantities of the different classes of fibres A, B being removed consecutively in each case and being fed to the relevant fibre-processing devices. For the purpose of enabling a feed of fibre material corresponding to the material requirement of the processing machines disposed thereafter, the process of removing fibre material from the bales of class A fibres is halted immediately and at a determined place when the relevant fibre processing machine ceases to require it, and when further fibre material of class A fibres is required the process of removal is continued at the same place at which the previous removal process was halted.</p> |
