PURPOSE:To miniaturize a mold clamping device and in turn an injection molding machine by conducting pressure generated in an injection plunger to a mold clamping cylinder installed inside a fixed die plate and pressing the fixed die plate toward a movable die plate. CONSTITUTION:An oil pressure inside a cylinder 36 increases in accordance with the advancing of an injection ram 32, resulting in the application of a high pressure to a mold clamping piston 26 through a flow path 38. A high pressing force is applied to a fixed die plate 22 connected to the mold clamping piston 26 and pushing the fixed die plate toward a movable die plate 16. Because of the locking of the movable die plate by a locking mechanism 46 a high clamping force generates between the movable die plate and the fixed die plate. |
