PURPOSE:To reduce the scale of a circuit and power consumption and, at the same time, to improve the yield of an image pickup element and display element, by providing a circuit which multiplies by a correcting data value, circuit which adds the multiplied signal, and a circuit which reads out the correcting data values. CONSTITUTION:Signals from an image sensor 1 are multiplied by correcting data at a multiplier 6 after they are A/D-converted. The correcting data have data to only part where the sensitivity fluctuation is so great that requires correction and data at the position where the correction is made are successively read out from a position memory 10 and compared with scanned data from a clock generator 8 at a comparator 9. At the moment when the positional data coincide with the scanned data a timing pulse is generated by a control circuit 11 and the address of a correction memory 12 where correcting data are written is designated by the timing pulse, and then, the correcting data are outputted to a switching circuit 13. The switching circuit 13 outputs the correcting data to the multiplier 6, and thus, input signals are corrected.
