The key comprises two jaws (10, 14), the second one (14) being mounted slidingly within the first. A handle (12) fitted with teeth (23) meshing with teeth (22) of the moving jaw (14) provides automatic clamping of the clamp. The moving jaw (14) is guided in the fixed jaw by a thinned part (15) having a cylindrical thickening (16) sliding in a cylindrical housing formed by two grooves (17, 18). In the maximum open position the moving jaw (14) does not leave the bearing face (21) of the fixed jaw. <IMAGE>
