A coating material is disclosed which comprises (A) a polyol resin obtained by reacting a prepolymer of an epoxy resin and a phosphorus compound having at least one P-OH bond, such as phosphoric acids, and one or more compounds having one or more amino groups which can react with the epoxy group, (B) a compound having more than one isocyanate group or groups which are converted to isocyanate groups under curing conditions, and (C) a bituminous material and/or substitutes therefor. This coating material can be applied to rusty metal surfaces.
