PURPOSE:To obtain a weld zone having a small crater part with thorough penetration by controlling welding speed, laser output and the flow rate of an inert gas just before the end point of welding by a preliminarily set program. CONSTITUTION:A laser welding device is formed of a laser oscillator 11, a nozzle 2 for irradiating laser light on materials 6 to be welded, a device for blowing the inert gas from a discharge port 14 provided to face the nozzle, a driving device 15 for moving the materials 6 and a control device 12. The device 12 controls the laser light by storing and executing the welding program for the weld zone. The laser light is irradiated on the materials 6 by such device and the materials 6 are driven and welded according to the program. The inert gas is blown to the weld zone from the port 14 in this stage and the output of the laser light is decreased and stopped during blowing of said gas. |
