PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for piping for cooling water which is dangerous in terms of operation environment and costs much by cooling the processing liquid in the developing tank of the automatic developing machine with liquid temperatures of an adjacent bleaching tank or bleaching and fixing tank. CONSTITUTION:Printed photosensitive paper 2 is put in the automatic developing machine 4 and moved in the order of the developing tank 6, bleaching and fixing tank 7, and rinsing tanks 8 and 9 to perform automatic development processing. In this case, a control system equipment chamber 12 is provided at an adjacent position of the developing tank 6 and a large-capacity electric heater 17 and a small-capacity electric heater 18 are put in operation according to the liquid temperature of the developing tank 6 which is detected by a temperature sensor 15 to control the temperature. Further, the processing liquid temperature in the bleaching and fixing tank 7 adjoining to the developing tank 6 is held at about 30 deg.C and the adjacent area ratio of the bleaching and fixing tank 7 to the developing tank 6 is set to about >=0.6 deg.C, and consequently the liquid temperature in the developing tank 6 is lowered with the liquid temperature in the bleaching and fixing tank 7 to perform temperature control. |
